Most domes on the market are made with metal tubing. Here at GeoStudios we developed a dome that uses good 'ol lumber.
Why?
Because wood is sustainable, easy to work with (Canadians have used wood like, forever) and 2x4 lumber means you can insulate, so... year round use!
Simplicity, convenience and familiarity.

THE CHORDS (as in frame stud or joist) are the building blocks of these domes. There are 2 lengths of chord used and each end is cut to a point.
Here is a typical "arrowhead" cut.
Every frame is comprised of 60 chords.

Using the chords, triangles are assembled.
Using the chords, triangles are assembled.

Using the triangles, pentagons are assembled.
All. On. Site.
And in a surprisingly short amount of time.
