The Gnome Dome is a 'micro home'. It was built as a response to a need for one-person accomodation in an urban backyard environment but could easily be placed in any location with access to electricity.

Very low water consumption> includes a waterless toilet, a hygenic alternative to showers, a sink that drains organic greywater to 'mini-septic field' or biodigester

The Competition that gave birth to the Gnome Dome
The rules were simple. Create a microhome (no more than 100 sq ft) that has space to sleep for two, will keep you warm in winter, has a toilet, washing facilities and a place to keep food cool. When I saw the entry form I simply knew "I could not, not do this". So I built the Microdome.
